NE Siberian Tiger and Leopard National Park 1: Work for the Big Cat

The Siberian tiger is one of the most endangered animals in the world and lives in Russia, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and northeastern China. Its conservation status is of vital importance. In 2017, the pilot Northeast China Tiger and Leopard National Park's administration was established, aiming to protect Siberian tigers, Amur leopards, and other wildlife. The park stretches across two provinces, with a land area of over 14,600 square kilometers. Why is the park so enormous? How does it feel to work there? Here's the story of Liu Guoqing, a forest ranger in the park.

National Parks Have Their Say

At this year's Two Sessions, topics of wildlife protection have been brought up by both NPC deputies and CPPCC members, as the novel coronavirus was initially believed to be linked to game meat consumption. For people who have been working in the national parks, what's on their mind? What do they expect from the discussions in Beijing? How do the experts and NPC deputies respond to their concerns?
